Cherry Tree Day Nursery is located in the centre of Wakefield not far from the Bus Station.
The nursery is registered for 52 children from zero to five years old, over two floors, providing a high standard of childcare.
Our preschool rooms are bright and cheerful and we encourage children with focused activities to help them with their further education. Children enjoy all the aspects of sand, water, painting, cooking, junk modelling, wood work, and sticking.
We like to encourage children to interact with other children.
The nursery is equipped to meet all the requirement of the 1989 Children's Act.
All children are able to participate in a wide range of activities designed to encourage skills that will be needed in later life.
Our qualified and experienced staff are dedicated to the development of the babies and children in their care and the play experiences are based around their development needs.
From around the age of three months babies are given new experiences according to their individual needs. At such a young age babies learn through their senses- sounds, smells, physical contact, singing, games and talking are all vital to your babies development. As well as encouraging physical skills for crawling, standing and walking, children and babies enjoy early games such as peek-a-boo, clapping and finding hidden objects,this will be part of your babies' daily routine, there will also be opportunities for out door play, weather permitting. As our staffing ratios are 1-3 so there will be plenty of one - one interaction with staff and other children.
Once around the age of eight months, your baby will begin to experience natural materials such as pasta play, sand and water play, as well as discovering the pleasures of hand and feet painting and play dough. All with close supervision of course!
Once your baby is toddling confidently he or she will progress gradually into our toddler room. Here they will follow on from the experiences they have already gained in the baby room to become more self confident and independent. We aim to follow your babies own feeding and sleep routines so that from an early age a relationship of trust and confidence is formed with his or her key workers. We are sure your baby's time with us will be both and an enjoyable and happy one.
